HR Office/Payroll Assistant

Position Responsibilities:

  • Human Resources – Processes personnel changes. Assists the HR Director with special projects and day-to-day tasks. Maintains all personnel records.
  • Payroll – Processes semi-monthly payroll using ADP software. Processes garnishments, support orders, unemployment and disability inquiries, and pay rate changes. Manages paid time off programs including sick leave, floating holidays, and vacations.
  • Benefits – Health and Welfare Benefit Enrollment management for annual open enrollment and new hire notification and enrollment. Claim invoice processing weekly and monthly for medical plan. Process weekly 401(k) deferral election changes.
  • Accounting –Perform month end duties for Payroll reporting, Workers Compensation payment reporting and medical account reconciliation.

Compensation: starting at $21-27/hour depending on experience.

Log Scaler

Position Responsibilities:

  • Scaling and grading by utilizing the official log scaling rules for Scribner Short Log Decimal C.
  • Determine gross and net board feed of logs presented.
  • Professionally interact with regulatory agencies and mutual business professionals.
  • Represent the company in a professional and positive manner.
  • Assist in the log yard tasks such as remanufacturing logs & operating a water truck.
  • Assist the Timber Manager and Log Yard Supervisor with other projects as needed.

Compensation: starting at $24.89/hour depending on experience.
